SPRING CLASS SESSION 

 Session runs January 13-June 7, 2020

 

Spring Class Tuition & Fees

$30 Individual/$50 Family Annual Registration Fee (does not apply to students enrolled in Fall Session 2019)

$60 Monthly Tuition for all 45-60 minute classes that meet once per week (5 months)

$65 Costume Fee for each dance class 

$25 Supply Fee for each acting or vocal class

 

Fees for Main Stage Jr. and Main Stage Production are as follows:

$120 Monthly Tuition (5 payments) due on the first of the month

$75 Supply Fee due at time of registration 

$100 Production Fee due with second tuition payment

Note: Monthly tuition for Acting Fundamentals I, Acting for Musical Theatre I, OR Performance Vocals I will be waived for students enrolled in Main Stage Jr. Production.  Monthly Tuition for Acting Fundamentals II OR Acting for Musical Theatre II  will be waived for students enrolled in Main Stage Production. Supply fee of $25 still applies.

 

Fees for After-School Performing Arts Program are as follows:

$120 Weekly Tuition for Elementary School Students

$100 Weekly Tuition for Middle School Students

Note: Tuition includes classes taken prior to 6pm as well as daily academic support provided by tutor.  All costume, production and/or supply fees still apply.

Summer Camp Tuition

 

$240/1 week

$455/2 weeks (savings of $25) 

$670/3 weeks (savings of $50)

$60 per week for Extended Day Curriculum

 

A single $50 non-refundable deposit for each camp must be paid at the time of registration for each student and will be applied toward tuition balance. Remaining balance is due May 15th.

(Note: Annual registration fee does not apply to summer campers.)

 

All refund requests must be submitted via email or in writing. Requests received prior to June 1, 2020 will be honored less the $50 non-refundable camp deposit. After June 1, 2020, all camp tuition is non-refundable. However, credit may be issued toward other programs at STCFTA if request is received at least 2 weeks prior to start date of camp in which student is currently registered.

Open daily from 8:30am-3:00pm 

Drop off between 8:30am-9:00am 

Camp curriculum 9:00am-3:00pm

Extended Day Curriculum 3:00-5:00pm

Students that have completed 1st-8th grade will receive instruction in acting, singing, and dancing centered around the weekly theme. Students will have the opportunity to perform at the center for friends and family on the last day of each camp, demonstrating the skills they have learned throughout the week. Performances will take place on Fridays at 12:30pm and 2:30pm (students participate in both performances.)

Summer Camp 2020
Class Descriptions
Show classes for:
Creative Movement/Tap Combo

Creative movement and tap combo class for PreKindergarten/Kindergarten students age 2 to 5 by Sept. 1, 2019.  This class is designed to teach the basic ballet and tap rhythm that are the foundation of all dance styles, along with development of motor skills through theatrical play.

Ballet I

Beginner/Intermediate Ballet class for students in 1st through 4th grade.  Students will learn terminology and movements, and how to execute them properly in combinations in order to gain muscle, advance skill and prevent injury.  Students will also learn ballet class etiquette, parts of the body and how ballet is the foundation for most dance forms.

Hip Hop I

Beginner/Intermediate Hip Hop class for students in 1st through 4th grade.  This class is designed to improve fitness and increase knowledge in this style of dance.  Students specifically gain knowledge of the various hip hop styles, body movements, and terminology and are challenged with choreography.

Hip Hop II

Beginner/Intermediate Hip Hop class for students in 5th through 8th grade.  This class is designed to improve fitness and increase knowledge in this style of dance.  Students specifically gain knowledge of the various hip hop styles, body movements, and terminology and are challenged with choreography. 

Jazz/Tap I

Beginner/Intermediate Jazz  and Tap class for students in 1st through 4th grade.  This class is designed to teach jazz and tap movements, along with development of dance terminology.

Jazz/Tap II

Beginner/Intermediate Jazz  and Tap class for students in 5th through 8th grade.  This class is designed to teach jazz and tap movements, along with development of dance terminology.

Lyrical II

Beginner/Intermediate Lyrical class for students in 5th through 8th grade.  Lyrical dance combines the mastery of movement with the artistry of expression.  It is this combination, rather than a separation of the two, that makes lyrical dance so powerful.  This class combines skill development and self-expression while exploring the elements or concepts of dance.  
 

Performance Dance Company

This class is for students in 3rd through 5th grade. Students work with various choreographers, diverse types of instruction, and different dance styles to become versatile dancers.  They make great friends in a positive and encouraging atmosphere.  Students advance faster due to more focused training and gain more confidence. *Teacher approval required prior to registration. 

Performance Dance Company Elite

This class is for students in 6th through 8th grade.  Students work with various choreographers, diverse types of instruction, and different dance styles to become versatile dancers.  They make great friends in a positive and encouraging atmosphere.  Students advance faster due to more focused training and gain more confidence. *Teacher approval required prior to registration. 

Performance Vocals I

(Formerly Vicious Vocals) This class is open to students in 1st through 4th grade that love to SING for an audience! All levels of experience welcome.  This class will allow students the opportunity to learn and perform popular songs, ranging from Top 40 hits, yesterday's favorites, Disney and beyond. With a challenging mix of choreography and singing, students will work to create a pop vocal ensemble that is ready for the stage! Students will receive exciting performance opportunities in and around the community.  They will also perform as the exclusive vocal group in our annual Dance Showcase.  Give your budding popstar the chance to shine!   *This class also one of the required class options for our Main Stage Jr. Production participants. 

Acting Fundamentals I

This class is open to students in 1st through 4th grade. Students will strengthen their acting muscles and theatre mind-set through the use of method-based acting exercises, teacher and students lead discussions, and research-based activities.  Scene and monologue work will be a large part of the class focus.  This is class is not intended to be a performance-based class, but rather a class that develops skills students will utilize in their performance classes. The class will culminate with parents being invited to a final rehearsal/show of scenes and monologues. *It is also one of the required class options for our Main Stage Jr. Production participants.

This a great class for those interested in giving our theatre program a try.  *It is also one of the required class options for our Main Stage Jr. Production participants. 

Acting for Musical Theatre II

This class open to students in 5th through 8th grade. It is a great blend of performance and exploration centered around the exciting world of musical theatre.  Students will get to flex their acting and singing muscles all while taking on challenging scenes from some of the most popular and beloved musical shows. Monologue and solo work will be a large component of this class, as well as helping students find a better understanding of musical theatre structure and audition techniques. Students will employ improvisations, games and ensemble-driven playmaking to craft a one-of-a kind show filled to the brim with laughs and imagination. Whether they're a prankster, a jokester or just filled with "sillies", this class provides an outlet for students' most creative comedic energy!

Main Stage Jr. Production

This class will solely focus on the Spring semester's Main Stage Jr. Production and is open to students in 1st through 4th grade. All students in this class are required to enroll in either Acting Fundamentals I, Acting for Musical Theatre I or Performance Vocals I (at no additional tuition cost). Students will rehearse and craft the show in a semi-professional atmosphere, while learning the importance of ensemble, responsibility, professionalism, and community as it relates to all areas of theatre.  Students are required to attend all rehearsals including tech week and shows.  Students and parents will sign a contract committing fully to the class once casting is set.  Please note this class meets twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30pm. 

Main Stage Production

Technical Theatre

This class is open to students in 1st through 8th grade.  It is designed to teach students more about the technical aspects of theatre through hands-on experiences such as: building and painting the set, painting and sewing costumes, making and embellishing props, dealing with scripts and materials, and more.  Specifically, students will make and help to create the items needed for our performance-based classes.  Students have the option of enrolling in this class monthly and drop-in weekly.

Frozen II (1st-4th grade) 6/8-6/12

Ready to go "Into the Unknown"? We're bringing the magic of Frozen II to STCFTA this summer with this brand new camp! Your camper will have the chance to explore the songs of the newest hit movie including "Show Yourself", "Some Things Never Change", and more! Singing and movement-driven, this camp is sure to warm even the coldest hearts.

Descendants (1st-4th grade) 6/15-6/19

Calling all VKs! It's your chance to  visit the Isle of the Lost and learn "Ways to be Wicked". Throughout this week of camp, your camper will learn the songs and dances from the popular Descendants franchise! Be our guest and join in the fun during this wicked week of camp!

It's Zoms versus Poms during this week of camp! The zombies and cheerleaders of Seabrook will invade STCFTA and bring along their super-cool dance moves to teach campers of all levels of experience. Your camper will be immersed in the world of Disney's Zombies, learning songs such as "BAMM" from the first movie, and "We Got This" from the second! Think you've got what it takes to get fired up? Join us for Zombies week!

With chocolate rivers and Oompa Loompas galore, this camp is sure to be the perfect place for your camper to experience pure imagination!

Now there is with our Alternative Popstar camp! Featuring songs from bands and artists like Twenty One Pilots, Billie Eilish, and Imagine Dragons, your camper is sure to have a blast singing, dancing, and rocking out to the songs they love to listen to!

Wildcats everywhere, wave your hands up in the air! It's time to head back to East High for this singing and dancing intensive camp. Campers will have the opportunity to learn dance combinations and sing along to their favorite songs from the film High School Musical, including "We're All in This Together" and "Get'cha Head in the Game". All levels of experience are welcome for this camp that is fit for an East High Wildcat in training!

High School Musical (5th-8th grade) 7/13-7/17

Wildcats everywhere, wave your hands up in the air! It's time to head back to East High for this singing and dancing intensive camp. Campers will have the opportunity to learn dance combinations and sing along to their favorite songs from the film High School Musical, including "We're All in This Together" and "Get'cha Head in the Game". All levels of experience are welcome for this camp that is fit for an East High Wildcat in training!

Seeking all the class clowns and big personalities we can! This is SUMMER CAMP LIVE! Modeled after shows like Saturday Night Live, this camp seeks to bring students together who love being funny and having fun! Over the course of the week, students will help write, direct, and star in a brand new sketch comedy show! Complete with improv games and original song parodies, this is the perfect place for the goofball in your family to work together with new friends and new stories!
